He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine. He has an appointment in the Department of Orthopaedics and sees patients with non-operative orthopedic injuries and concussion. He served as one of the team physicians for the University of Maryland Terrapins varsity athletes for 13 years. Since 2013, he has been sideline concussion consultant for the National Football League (NFL).
