She served as chief resident during her training program and stayed on as faculty at Mercy Medical Center for a year. Afterwards, she moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she practiced for 14 years, serving as cardiology liaison and observation unity director. During the pandemic, Dr. DeMeester and her family relocated to Bend, Oregon.
