<\/h1>\nDr. Martinez is currently a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After earning his B.S. from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Martinez earned his M.D. from UMSOM in 1998. He completed a combined residency in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland in 2003, then went on to earn board certification in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine and join the faculty of both departments. Dr. Martinez was appointed Assistant Dean for Medical Education and Student Experience in 2020. In addition to his clinical and administrative duties, Dr. Martinez is an active lecturer on the local, national, and international level, with a particular interest in abdominal and gastrointestinal emergencies, as well as medical student education.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
