She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and a simulation fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center. In her role at the University of Maryland, Dr. Ali serves as a course director for a medical student pre-clerkship course and the Transition to Residency - Emergency Medicine elective. She has a special interest in psychiatric emergencies, life-threatening rashes, and simulation education.<br \/>Dr. Ali has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented several lectures at national and international conferences. She serves as the co-chair of the AAEM simulation interest group. Her contributions to the field have earned her several awards, including the AHA Young Investigator Award.
