Dr. Torres has been a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine since 2007 after completing her emergency medicine residency. As the Assistant Clinical Director for the emergency department at Mercy Medical Center since 2009, Dr. Torres has implemented a variety of quality improvement projects, sat on multiple hospital executive committees, and been involved with Mercy’s hospital-wide EPIC design, implementation and decision-making. She has served as a co-director for the UMEM Faculty Administrative Fellowship curriculum since 2017. Her academic interests include infectious diseases, ED administration, medical informatics, and social outreach to underserved communities.
