Dr. Flint joined the University of Maryland School of Medicine faculty in 2021 after spending 20 years in community emergency medicine practice. Having held the roles of department medical director as well as the education director for a regional staffing group, he brings significant experience in the areas of emergency department operations, administration, patient safety/risk management as well as the business of medicine. Academic areas of interest include trauma, medical education, geriatrics, injury prevention, and emergency department operations. Dr. Flint received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. He is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY before moving into community practice followed by academic practice.
