Dr. Chandra is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed residency at Maimonides Medical Center and subsequently completed a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound at NYU/Bellevue before joining the faculty in 2015. He currently serves as the Chief of Emergency Medicine at UMMC Midtown Campus. Here, he has championed significant improvements in ED operations and patient flow. Prior to this, he served as Assistant Medical Director and Emergency Ultrasound Director at Bon Secours Baltimore. Academically, Dr. Chandra is actively involved with medical student education as well as resident and fellow ultrasound training. He has lectured nationally and internationally on point of care ultrasonography and serves as course director for the Introduction to Critical Care Ultrasound. His academic interests include ED operations, leadership and management, airway management, and point of care ultrasonography.
