Dr. King is one of three nephrologist-medical toxicologists in the world. He is the medical director of the Maryland Poison Center, the program director of the University of Maryland Nephrology Fellowship, and a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Medical Toxicology. He has lectured nationally and internationally and is the recipient of numerous teaching awards at the department and medical school levels.
