Dr. Gingold is an Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine in the University of Maryland Department of Emergency Medicine. After residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Center, he served as Chief Resident and Faculty Development Fellow before joining faculty in 2017. He developed interests in psychiatric emergencies and social emergency medicine while working at a small community hospital in West Baltimore before returning to UMMC in 2020. At UMMC he serves as the liaison to Psychiatric Emergency Services, and is the medical director of the Mobile Integrated Health-Community Paramedicine program, a partnership with the Baltimore City Fire Department. Currently he serves as Assistant Medical Director for Population Health at BCFD, working with the city EMS and police agencies to improve quality care delivery to patients in mental health crisis. Dr. Gingold has given numerous local and national lectures on psychiatric emergencies, health services research, and population health.
