Joelle Donofrio-Odmann, DO, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. She attended University of California Davis for undergraduate studies and medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine- California. She completed Pediatric Residency at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellowship at University of California San Diego. She currently chairs the California EMS for Children Technical Advisory Committee, is the deputy chief medical officer for San Diego Fire-Rescue, the EMS Medical Director for Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, and works clinically in the Emergency Department at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego. Dr. Donofrio-Odmann is an active member of the pediatric subcommittee of the NAEMSP and co-hosts “The Pediatric EMS Podcast”. Her research focuses on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and prehospital pediatric resuscitation.
