Haney Mallemat, MD

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at the Cooper Medical School at Rowan University

Dr. Haney Mallemat is a highly accomplished and respected emergency medicine / critical care physician and educator. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Downstate in Brooklyn, NY followed by a combined EM-IM residency at Downstate / Kings
County Medical Center where he served as chief resident in his final year. He continued his training with a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Dartmouth School of Medicine in Lebanon, NH; during that time, he further trained in critical care ultrasound and echocardiography.

He began his attending career at the University of Maryland School of Medicine / Shock Trauma Medical Center where he split his clinical time between Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. His time in Emergency medicine focused on emergency ultrasound and resuscitation, while his critical care focus was echocardiography, hemodynamics, and cardiothoracic care. Dr. Mallemat is currently an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at the Cooper Medical School at Rowan University.

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Mallemat has developed a reputation as an expert in emergency medicine, critical care, resuscitation, and ultrasound. He is a well-known speaker and content expert who regularly presents at national and international conferences. He is also the section author for several medical textbooks, a contributor to leading medical journals, a guest on podcasts such as EMRAP, and has a large audience on social media focusing on education. In the last four years, Dr. Mallemat has created a medical resuscitation conference of his own called ResusX (https://www.resusx.com) which focuses on cutting-edge education in resuscitation and critical care. He also posts and curates a free resuscitation blog called CriticalCareNow (https://criticalcarenow.com). Finally, Dr. Mallemat’s dedication to the art of presentation and slide design has led him to the creation of a course for beginner, as well as seasoned speakers called Keynotable (https://www.keynotable.net).
