Dr. Greenwood is a clinical Emergency Physician and Heart & Vascular ICU Physician at the University of Pennsylvania. He has published extensively and presented internationally on the topic of cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and microcirculatory dysfunction in shock states. He is the Director of the Penn Center of Resuscitation Science where he leads NIH clinical trials related to post-arrest targeted temperature management, microcirculatory injury and dysfunction, novel biomarkers in circulatory shock, and post-cardiac arrest proteomics.
