Dr. Adler is a Clinical Assistant Professor and at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He serves as the Director of Compliance and Reimbursement for the Department of Emergency Medicine. A subject matter expert in the areas of documentation and reimbursement, Dr. Adler is a Certified Emergency Department Coder. He is the current ICD-10 workgroup chair for ACEP's Coding Nomenclature Advisory Committee, and Chair of EDPMA's Quality Coding Documentation Committee. His area of interest focuses on the intersection of clinician documentation, coding policy, and malpractice risk reduction.
