Dr. Kathleen Stephanos graduated from the combined Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics residency training program at the University of Maryland in 2016. She then joined the faculty at the University of Rochester in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, where she was core faculty for the Emergency Medicine residency and Assistant Clerkship Director for Emergency Medicine. She graduated from ACEP’s Teaching Fellowship in 2020. In 2022, she returned to her hometown of Baltimore to join the faculty at the University of Maryland. Dr. Stephanos has lectured numerous times both locally and nationally, her areas of interest are Pediatric Emergencies, specifically Pediatric Hematologic and Oncologic Emergencies, Medical Education, and Healthcare Disparities. She is currently actively involved in resident education and medical student Education as the Assistant Clerkship Director for Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland.
