Dr. Huis in 't Veld is an ABEM board certified emergency physician. She was born & raised in Utrecht, the Netherlands, but moved to Baltimore, MD for residency training, and completed a cardiovascular emergencies fellowship afterwards. After spending additional years practicing emergency medicine in Baltimore she returned to the Netherlands to practice emergency medicine there, and recently took on a position as a senior policy advisor on acute care at the Netherlands Zorginstituut (Dutch Health Institute). She is a board member of the Dutch Emergency Physician Association. She has a passion for emergency cardiology and improving LGBTQ+ related care, especially in the emergency department. In her free time she loves traveling, spinning, and collecting inclusive children's books.
