Reginald Brown, MD

Emergency Medicine Chair, Doctors Community Hospital

Dr. Brown is a graduate of the esteemed University of Maryland Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Combined Residency. After completing residency, he remained on faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine, at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine from 2010-2020. While on faculty he was Assistant Director for the Combined Emergency Medicine and Pediatric from 2017-2020. He also co-chaired the Emergency Medicine Administrative Curriculum from 2018-2020. His primary clinical appointment was at Bon Secours Hospital, Baltimore and was an attending in the Pediatric Emergency Department at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake and Medical Center Campuses. In 2017, he became the Director of Emergency Medicine at Bon Secours Hospital, and has also served as the Medical Staff President. In 2020 Bon Secours Hospital was acquired by LifeBridge Health, and Dr. Brown remained as the Emergency Medical Director at Bon Secours to lead the transition to a freestanding ED under the new moniker Grace Medical Center. More recently, Dr. Brown has accepted a position as Chair of Emergency Medicine at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland. He is passionate about emergency medicine in underserved communities, administrative leadership, as well as diversity and inclusion.
