Dr. DeMeester graduated from University of Maryland residency training program in 2006 and holds the honor of being in Dr. Mattu's intern class during his first year as residency director. She served as chief resident during her training program and stayed on as faculty at Mercy Medical Center for a year. Afterwards, she moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she practiced for 14 years, serving as cardiology liaison and observation unity director. During the pandemic, Dr. DeMeester and her family relocated to Bend, Oregon. Dr. DeMeester continues to remain involved with EMRAP and enjoys all things cardiology but especially the topic of women and heart disease.
