Dr. Tewelde is an Associate Professor and Assistant Residency Program Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and currently serves as Director of the fellowship. She's been an invited speaker for Scientific Assembly (ACEP), Maryland ACEP, Resuscitation for Emergency Physicians (AAEM), and the Mediterranean Emergency Medicine Conference (MEMC). She's served as Director of bedside echocardiography for several national courses (Crashing Patient, Heart Course, Society of Thoracic Surgeons). She was honored by AAEM receiving the Young Educator Award (2017).
