Dr. Pierre is an Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine and the Assistant Medical Director of the Baltimore VA. After her residency training, she completed a clinical ultrasound fellowship at NYU prior to joining UMMC. She is currently in the American College of Emergency Physicians Teaching Fellowship and Academic Life in Emergency Medicine Faculty Incubator. She also currently serves as a Counsilor for the American Academy of Emergency Medicine Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion National Section and a faculty mentor for the departmental Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. In addition to medical education, Dr. Pierre's clinical and research interests lie in her long-standing passion for health equity, global health, and clinical ultrasound, and she has published and lectured both nationally and internationally on these topics. More specifically, she is interested in reducing health disparities in at-risk populations and improving access to care for marginalized populations.
